Wan Hai Lines confirms an order of twelve 3055 Teu container vessels with Nihon Shipyard and JMU

As part of the company’s fleet improvement plan, Wan Hai Lines has confirmed an order of twelve (12) 3055 Teu container vessels with Nihon Shipyard Co Ltd. (NSY) / Japan Marine United Corp (JMU). Hapag-Lloyd has commissioned the South Korean shipyard Daewoo Shipbuilding & Marine Engineering to build six ships, each with a capacity of over 23,500 TEU.
