Extended Wärtsilä agreement continues support for Carnival Corporation’s fleet decarbonisation goals

Technology group Wärtsilä and Carnival Corporation & plc have signed a one-year extension to the Performance-based agreement that has been in place since 2017. The agreement, which was due to expire in March 2029, will now be valid until March 2030. Cruise ship successfully re-fuelled with Goodfuels’ Biofuel in the port of Rotterdam

GoodFuels has successfully completed its first bio-bunkering for a large passenger ship. This was done in partnership with Carnival Corporation’s AIDA Cruises brand, marking an important step forward to achieving sustainability in the cruise industry.
