About Northern Lighthouse Board

We are the General Lighthouse Authority for Scotland and the Isle of Man and have provided a vital safety service to mariners since 1786. They operate and maintain 207 lighthouses and 167 buoys as well as providing aids to navigation. They are also responsible for ensuring other AToN providers in their area, such as port authorities, are conforming to international standards.
