ONE and Yusen logistics in green shipping pact

Ocean Network Express and Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd are pleased to announce a new agreement for sustainable shipping solutions through ONE's green shipping service, ONE LEAF+.  This collaboration demonstrates how the industry can advance sustainable supply chain practices and marine transportation to deliver environmental benefits. Scope 3 GHG emissions As a freight forwarder, Yusen Logistics will offer this green shipping option to customers Under this agreement, ONE will use sustainable biofuels for propulsion, achieving up to 84% reduction in well-to-wake CO2 emissions compared to Very Low Sulphur Fuel Oil (VLSFO). "By utilising ONE LEAF+, we are proud to offer our customers more sustainable choices and contribute to the reduction of GHG emissions.” Flexible CO2e savings The service uses UCOME, a non-toxic and biodegradable biofuel derived from food production ONE LEAF+ (Low Emission-Able Freight) offers customers the opportunity to proactively manage their own emissions and minimise environmental impact across the value chain. The service currently uses UCOME (Used Cooking Oil Methyl Ester), a non-toxic and biodegradable biofuel derived from food production. Customers can choose flexible CO2e savings from approximately 10-80% and receive independently verified emissions reduction certificates to track their environmental impact.  ONE's sustainability initiatives ONE aims to be a sustainable, resilient and trusted global shipping partner. ONE continues to implement its Green Strategy and Decarbonisation Roadmap to drive immediate action while developing long-term solutions. Tokyo – Leading Classification Society, ClassNK granted the Class C Innovation Endorsement Provider Certification to Yusen Logistics Co., Ltd. ClassNK offers its third-party Innovation Endorsement ‘Provider Certification’, which supports innovative initiatives, to companies and organisations. As companies pursue ESG-oriented management and SDGs, ClassNK conducts third-party certification on the initiatives to transform their own business methods and organisations to establish a sustainable and competitive business.
