In this context, WEG announces the launch of the W80 AXgen, an axial flux motor that allows Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) partners to innovate and create cutting-edge solutions. The new motor was initially launched in the North American and European markets, with an official launch in Brazil planned for the first half of 2025. Efforts for eco-friendly solutions The W80 AXgen offers flexibility by allowing the combination of multiple motors to scale up power With an innovative design, this solution is crafted to optimise space usage and significantly reduce logistics costs by enabling the creation of compact, lightweight, and efficient machines and equipment. A bold motor, it drives OEM partners to achieve their sustainability goals by developing products with a lower environmental impact, aligning with global efforts for more eco-friendly solutions. Beyond simplifying logistics, the W80 AXgen offers flexibility by allowing the combination of multiple motors to scale up power, catering to a wide range of industrial applications. This enhances the competitiveness of the developed products, opening doors to tackle challenges and those of the future. Technological innovation The W80 AXgen is fully integrated with WEG’s CFW900 line of inverters. This combination enables the operation of multiple motors with a single inverter, without requiring additional filters, even in installations with long cables of up to 200 metres. This compatibility leads to greater reliability, competitiveness, and reduced operational costs. This launch is part of WEG’s strategy to meet the demands of a market increasingly focused on energy efficiency and environmental responsibility, combining technological innovation with efficiency and sustainable practices.
