Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. (Yang Ming) would like to make the following clarifications on a news article published by ETtoday reporting that Yang Ming will submit a proposal to the Board meeting on December, 17th, to construct12 LNG dual-fuel vessels.

  1. The said news report is merely assumptions made by ETtoay. Yang Ming would publish its decisions on major capital expenditure at the Market Observation Post System (TWSE MOPS) by law.
  2. Vessel resource management is a critical issue of Yang Ming’s operation. To this end, Yang Ming has closely monitored the trend in the ship's market, adjusted its operation planning for the medium- and long-term service network planning, as well as compliance with international environmental laws and regulations, to enhance its operating competitiveness through the development of fleet resource.
  3. Yang Ming deeply regrets the misunderstanding caused by the continuous unverified reports made by certain news media.
