SCAEK is a cement factory located near Setif, Algeria. The unit has WEG medium voltage motors installed, which are essential for the proper functioning of the production line.

Upon detecting a failure presented by a motor that has been operating for years in the plant and, considering the fact that unscheduled stops can result in significant losses for production, the customer immediately contacted WEG, which quickly intervened to commission the spare motor, essential for these situations.

W60 motor installation

For the intervention, the local technician had the assistance of a WEG specialist, who provided all the necessary guidelines for the commissioning to be carried out.

The installation of the W60 motor and the necessary tests were performed according to the procedure, including measurement of the stator insulation resistance, checking the direction of rotation, alignment, vibration, winding and bearing temperature, checking the motor with and without load, which were successfully performed in less than 24 hours.
