Potable water is a fundamental resource for humans, but it still poses a challenge to reach every location.

For this process, lifting pumping stations play an important role in ensuring the raw water is delivered to the water treatment plants.

Water and wastewater services

Since 1971, Compesa (Companhia Pernambucana de Saneamento) has been working to provide water and wastewater services to the residents of the state of Pernambuco, Brazil.

The company is involved in various projects covering almost all municipalities in the state and maintains a long-standing relationship with WEG for supplying solutions to increase productivity and efficiency in its facilities.

Energise and drive motors

This equipment will contribute to supplying water to more than 800,000 people in approximately 10 cities

For the raw water pumping station Pirangi 1, located in the city of Palmares, the customer acquired an E-house that will energise and drive the motors of the lifting pumps.

This equipment will contribute to supplying water to more than 800,000 people in approximately ten cities in the state of Pernambuco and ensuring water security in the region.

E-house

The E-house is a set of panels and electrical devices that houses control, protection, and power distribution systems, essential for the reliable operation of the equipment involved in the process.

André Luiz de Oliveira e Silva, electrical engineer (Coordination of Electrical Maintenance - CME) at Compesa, comments, "The choice of WEG's E-house was due to factors such as reducing construction time and simplifying supply management, as it involves a single item contracted with an entire engineering process."

Electrical and automation systems

WEG delivered the complete technical documentation project, including the structural calculation base

To ensure a complete delivery, WEG supplied the equipment with the integration of electrical and automation systems and also carried out the commissioning and start-up, including all approval services with the electrical concessionaire.

Additionally, along with the E-house, WEG delivered the complete technical documentation project, including the structural calculation base. WEG provides high-performance and reliable products to improve the production process from start to finish.

Technology, innovation, and efficiency

From design to manufacturing, WEG E-houses are entirely customised to meet the specific needs of each customer. Mounted on a unique steel platform, WEG's E-house reduces the amount of fieldwork required and eliminates the need for permanent structures.

It is WEG's technology, innovation, and efficiency that enables more people to have access to potable water.
