VSTEP, a provider of maritime simulation solutions, in collaboration with its local partner MAREL Electronics, part of SPACEL, is pleased to announce the extension of a 5-year maintenance and support contract for the Hellenic Navy’s main training hub in Piraeus, Athens.

This agreement underscores the commitment to providing continuous assistance and performance checks on VSTEP’s NAUTIS Simulators, further enabling learning by simulation.

Maritime preparedness

Since 2019, VSTEP and MAREL Electronics have equipped the Hellenic Navy with three NAUTIS Console simulators, augmenting its training suite and enhancing maritime preparedness.

“The Hellenic Navy has already experienced the tangible benefits of the NAUTIS Simulator. Through our enduring partnership with MAREL Electronics, we have cultivated a strong relationship, enabling us to deliver excellent support to such a vital maritime institution," said Alexios Limnios, Business Development Team Lead, EMEA at VSTEP.

Training capabilities

"We take great pride in sustaining and enriching the training capabilities at the Hellenic Navy’s main facility. Looking ahead, we are eager to continue enabling learning by simulation over the next five years.”

The extension of this maintenance and support contract reflects the shared dedication of VSTEP and MAREL Electronics to advancing maritime training and readiness in Greece.
