Teknotherm’s subsidiary company in Poland has recently obtained a new contract for delivering HVAC systems to the new Ro-Pax ferry, which is intended for service between Świnoujście, in Poland and Ystad, in Sweden. The contract includes 3 hulls and 1 option.

The vessel will carry trucks, vans and cars on three decks. Total lane metres will be 4100 m. The superstructure includes cabins for 400 passengers and 50 persons of the crew, public spaces include restaurant, bars, shop, passenger lounge, children play area and similar.

Contract for new Ro-Pax ferry

Propulsion will be by LNG gas electric propulsion system, consisting of a power plant and electrical driven azimuth thrusters. The new vessel is to be built at Remontowa Shiprepair Yard S.A. (Remontowa) in Gdansk, Poland, and the ship owner is Polish Steamship Company (PŻM).

Teknotherm’s contracted systems for the three vessels will be HVAC for accommodations, chilled water system and control system, and delivery times will be in the years of 2023, 2024 and 2025, and 2026 for the option.
