Mersey Maritime was delighted to welcome leading figures within the tech space as speakers at their latest Technology & Innovation Forum (TIF) delivered in partnership with Getronics and Port City Innovation Hub (PCiH).

AI, data quality, and storage presentations

The Mersey Maritime TIF has been running since early 2020; exploring technology advancements, opportunities for innovation across the industry including smart ports, the future of shipping, and digitalisation through round table discussions with industry experts.

Getronics global ICT integrator has recently partnered with Mersey Maritime to help drive and support technology and digitisation opportunities across the maritime sector. The latest forum, delivered in partnership with Getronics included presentations and discussions on data quality and data storage, artificial intelligence (AI), smart ports, and 5G.

The event was also supported by PCiH, which is a regional programme to assist SMEs in the Liverpool City Region to drive and champion maritime innovation, the programme is funded by the European Regional Development Fund and the Liverpool City Region Strategic Investment Fund.

Participants of the programme were invited to attend the forum and also had the unique opportunity to give a 10-minute pitch of their business to a panel of technology experts.
