Spire Global, Inc. (‘Spire’ or ‘the Company’), a renowned global provider of space-based data, analytics and space services, has announced leadership changes within the Spire Maritime business.

John Lusk has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Spire Maritime. Mr. Lusk joined the Company in 2018 and has held various leadership roles, most recently serving as Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Spire Maritime.

Extensive industry experience

Mr. Lusk has more than 25 years of experience in driving go-to-market strategy

Mr. Lusk has more than 25 years of experience in driving go-to-market strategy, scaling high-growth products, business development, and operations. Prior to his role as Chief Operating Officer (COO), Mr. Lusk led Spire’s global data services group and oversaw the growth and innovation of the Company’s maritime, aviation and weather data solutions.

Peter Mabson, who previously served as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Spire Maritime, following the acquisition of exactEarth in November 2021, has been named CSO of Spire Maritime.

Focus on the execution of long-term strategy for business

Mr. Mabson will focus on the execution of long-term strategy for the business, including product innovation and development, as well as fostering strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Spire, Peter Mabson was President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO)  of exactEarth for more than 13 years and has more than 30 years of experience in the space sector.
