PT Salam Pacific Indonesia (SPIL), which is a pioneer logistics shipping company with more than 40 branches throughout Indonesia, recently established a cooperative relationship with Tokopedia, which is one of the giant E-commerce unicorns in Indonesia.

The collaboration is in the IT sector where the two companies are committed to implementing an API (Application Programming Interface) Connection for DO (Delivery Order) payments via Tokopedia. This aims to realize the go digital step carried out by these 2 large companies to facilitate customer transaction activities from PT SPIL for the invoice payment needs.

GM Commercial from PT SPIL, Jimmy Lisensia said this collaboration is one of the big steps and the latest innovation breakthrough from PT SPIL in the shipping and logistics sector to make it easier for customers to make Delivery Order (DO) payments. “Tokopedia is one of the most used applications in Indonesia and is accessed by more than 90 million users every month.”

I am very sure that all of our customers must have the Tokopedia application on their smartphones and we think that if customers can make DO payments through the Tokopedia application, it will be faster and more convenient. In addition, SPIL and TOKOPEDIA also have the same goal, namely to digitize every field of business to be more efficient.”, Jimmy explained.

SPIL was the first to launch a Digital Logistics Platform under the name mySPIL in 2017 and this has become a reference for other shipping companies in Indonesia to follow.

Tokopedia is also one of the e-commerce platforms that started the digitisation movement in Indonesia. As well as being one of the applications made in Indonesia that has a Unicorn title. Unicorn is a title given to a startup that has a valuation of more than $1 billion.

This collaboration with Tokopedia has gone Live on October 9th, 2021 and is running according to the expectations of the two companies. The payment menu will be available on the Top up & Billing page so that it can be easily accessed by users who need it.
