Serco PLC has joined the UN Global Compact, the provider of services to governments internationally announced today.

The Compact is an initiative where companies align their strategies and operations with ten principles related to human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions that advance society and deliver the UN’s sustainability goals.

Greater environmental responsibility

The move aligns with Serco’s purpose - to impact a better future for People, Place and Planet. They are proud to join the UN Global Compact and the UN Global Compact Network UK, joining thousands of other companies around the world committed to taking responsible business action to create the world they all want.

For Environment, it calls for companies to promote greater environmental responsibility and green technology, and to take action in support of the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The UN Global Compact is the largest corporate sustainability initiative in the world, with more than 20,000 companies and 3,000 non-business signatories based in over 160 countries, and 70+ Local Networks.

Ten universal principles
