Obeikan Glass Co is a glass manufacturer based in Yanbu, Saudi Arabia, that exports products across the world. They specialise in manufacturing a particular type of glass that requires special handling and equipment. Their main markets for this product are North America, Northern Europe, and the Mediterranean.

The challenge

Limited availability of special equipment and space posed a major challenge for the manufacturer.

The solution

Maersk started by working with the customer to understand their pain points at a granular level. Obeikan leveraged Maersk's container space and equipment to arrange and relocate their special glass products.

Maersk also helped them manage different supply chain processes under a single solution, which included ocean, inland transportation, and customs clearance.

The result

With Maersk's solution, the customer was able to load larger glass products in its containers and easily offload cargo from the top. Along with moving this cargo safely, they also saved time and effort that could be better spent focusing on growing their business.
