From the 8th to the 10th of June the yearly Congreso Mexicano Petroleo (CMP) took place in Monterrey. CMP is one of the business events for the offshore and energy industry in Mexico. Ruysch Americas presented itself at the Dutch Pavilion of the Dutch Energy Association.

The Dutch Energy Association is a non-profit, self-supporting, pro-active organisation that is dedicated to promoting trade, investment, and business development between Mexico and The Netherlands in the energy sector. By creating a platform that facilitates the exchange of essential industry information among business leaders, they enable its members to capitalise on emerging business opportunities.

Engine monitoring system

As SMART Maintenance is a hot item in the industry, Ruysch responded to this with its revolutionary and cost-saving engine monitoring system REDS Maritime. A condition-based monitoring system for diesel, gas, and dual-fuel engines.

This allows the user to detect deviations at an early stage and take appropriate actions

In short: the system provides real-time information on the status, health, and efficiency of a running combustion engine, by measuring the torsional vibrations in the engine. When deviations are detected, detailed information and the exact location are shown on a user-friendly screen. This allows the user to detect deviations at an early stage and take appropriate actions to prevent engine failure and unplanned downtime.

Condition based maintenance

Many positive reactions on REDS were received and interesting conversations took place on the subject of condition-based maintenance and the cost savings that come with it.

René van Aart, Director of Ruysch Americas and founding member of the Dutch Energy Association looks back on a very successful event. He aims to be back in 2017 with more REDS-like condition monitoring solutions to present at an even bigger Dutch Pavilion!
