RCL is pleased to advise that it will take over vessel operation from ONE on its RTY service. RTY currently operates between Thai Sugar Terminal (TST) / Singapore / Yangon (MIP) / Yangon (MITT) / Port Klang (North) / Singapore / TST on a 21 day, 3 vessel rotation. RCL already operates 2 of those vessels.

Maiden voyage

The maiden voyage will commence with the Yantra Bhum 1024W/E ETA TST 11 May 2019

With RCL replacing ONE's own vessel, RCL will operate all 3 vessels on the service using 3 x 1,018 TEU sister vessels i.e. Xetha, Yantra, and Nanta Bhum. The maiden voyage will commence with the Yantra Bhum 1024W/E ETA TST 11 May 2019 and ETA Yangon 20th May 2019.

The new rotation will be TST (Saturday) / Laem Chabang (Sunday) / Singapore (Wednesday) / Port Klang (Westport, Friday) / Yangon (MITT, Monday) / Yangon (MIP, Tuesday) / Port Klang (Westport, Friday) / TST (Saturday).

Direct shipments

An RCL spokesperson said, “The addition of Laem Chabang will support our customers' request for direct shipments from both Bangkok and Laem Chabang to Myanmar. The export windows from Bangkok/Laem Chabang are also the preferred windows on Saturday and Sunday."

"Over in Myanmar, RCL continues to offer a choice of both city (MIP) and MITT which is conveniently located next to a growing manufacturing hub known as the Thilawa Special Economic Zone.”
