London Medway, part of Peel Ports Group, has seen its commitment to continuous environmental improvement recognised by obtaining the internationally renowned ISO 14001:2015 Environmental Management certification.

The endorsement follows on from an extensive company-wide audit by the British Standards Institute (BSI) and endorses London Medway’s focus and ability in managing and achieving its environmental credentials.

Third certification by the BSI

The ISO 14001 represents London Medway’s third certification by the BSI, having already been successful in achieving the quality standard for management (ISO 9001:2015) and occupational management (ISO 45001:2018).

The standards each serve as specific requirements that organisations can use to improve their quality, health, safety, and environmental performance.

Authority comment

Richard Goffin, South-East Port Director said, “We’re very proud and encouraged that our efforts have been rewarded with the ISO 14001 certification.”

Attaining a trio of ISO accreditations provides assurance that London Medway has robust, clearly defined procedures in place in all key business areas such as quality management system, environment management as well as ensuring a safe and healthy working environment for all employees”.
