Bud Darr, Executive Vice President Maritime Policy and Government Affairs, MSC Group will be taking part in a Sea Asia virtual panel session, held as part of The Maritime Online Series, which is being organised by Informa Markets.  

The Maritime Online Series is a month-long series of online events and specially produced content, running from 21 June to 22 July 2021. With a different theme each week, the series will cover a number of essential topics: Crewing, Regulation, Digitalisation, Environment and Insurance.

Ship energy efficiency

Bud will join a panel on 14 July at 10:00 CET, titled ‘Progressing Decarbonisation – An Incremental Approach’. The session will be moderated by Edmund Hughes Ph.D., Director, Green Marine Associates, and the participants will discuss the market for transition fuels, tactics for ship energy efficiency and mid to long-term technology advances needed to make progress in decarbonisation.

Fellow panellists include Berit Hinnemann (Director, Head of Decarbonisation Business Development, A. P. Moller Maersk), Dominik Schneiter (Vice President, Research and Development, WinGD), and Sanjay Verma (Director – Decarbonisation Solutions, Wartsila Singapore Pte Ltd).
