Hanseaticsoft, part of Lloyd's Register’s Maritime Performance Services division, a global provider of ship management software and Kaiko Systems, a renowned provider of a user-friendly data collection and analysis tool, have announced that they will be integrating their systems to ease technical management and increase collaboration between vessels and staff on shore.
Hanseaticsoft offers a cloud-based management system for shipping and ship management companies, Cloud Fleet Manager (CFM). The system offers more than 40 different modules to enhance efficiency across the different departments of a company.
Hanseaticsoft and Kaiko Systems partnership
Kaiko Systems has developed a smart and user-friendly tool for technical management on board. This solution turns manual parts of technical operations into verified insights. Its mobile-first tool instructs crews to perform technical tasks such as inspections and maintenance while collecting data on-the-job.
The system then verifies data reliability and structures it into actionable insights that help shore teams to optimise the maintenance plans.
Safer, smarter and more collative technical management
The goal of this partnership is to empower a safer, smarter and more collative technical management
The goal of this partnership is to empower a safer, smarter and more collative technical management. This strengthened integration between Kaiko Systems and the Disturbance Report module of CFM will drastically reduce the amount of time crews spend on double entry and desktop work.
This, in the meantime, allows technical teams to reduce the effort they spend on day-to-day administrative work of data enquiry and restructuring, so they can focus on leveraging their expertise on data analysis and maintenance arrangement.
Data plausibility checks key to reliable technical management
“Data plausibility checks are key to reliable technical management,” said Fabian Fussek, the Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kaiko Systems, adding “Noting that stricter regulations have not resulted in more reliable data, but have made the tasks of seafarers more overwhelming.”
Fabian Fussek adds, “Kaiko Systems is making it easier for globally distributed vessel crews to fulfill their reporting duties and escalate issues. The combination of Kaiko Systems and Cloud Fleet Manager is a tremendous step towards bringing a standardised and verified data set at scale to the maritime industry.”
Standardisation is the fastest way to make data work
“Standardisation is the fastest way to make data work,” commented Alexander Buchmann, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hanseaticsoft, adding “Kaiko Systems ensures data to be highly structured. Its mobile app guides seafarers through manual operations and data collection, while automatically conducting plausibility checks.”
Alexander Buchmann adds, “On top of which, the compression technology allows for fast data transfer, even with limited internet. This improves collaboration between ship and shore. We expect our partnership to bring technical departments’ efficiency, significantly enhanced data quality, and more proactive operations from day one.”
