Pioneering maritime law firms Hill Dickinson and Alley Maass, both longstanding pioneers in superyacht legal services, have announced a formal alliance to significantly enhance their global capabilities and client services.

With headquarters in the UK, Hill Dickinson has a globally renowned maritime law practice, with over 120 specialists across major shipping hubs. Alley Maass, based in Florida, US, has more than 30 years of maritime law experience, advising clients on complex issues related to the purchase, sale and construction of recreational vessels worldwide.

The alliance will also give Hill Dickinson reciprocal access to Alley Maass’ specialist expertise in the US

The alliance will enable the two market-pioneering firms to pool their resources and expertise, providing Alley Maass and its clients with access to Hill Dickinson’s dedicated superyacht and wider maritime expertise in its UK, Monaco, Piraeus, Hong Kong and Singapore offices.

The alliance will also give Hill Dickinson reciprocal access to Alley Maass’ specialist expertise in the US, Cayman Islands, British Virgin Islands and Marshall Islands.

Advising on superyacht projects

By combining their strengths, the Hill Dickinson/Alley Maass alliance will offer a truly global superyacht legal service spanning sale and purchase, new construction, finance, insurance, design, management, structuring, crewing, refit and charter.

Their collective experience, shaped by decades of advising on some of the most significant superyacht projects in the world, ensures clients receive well informed, up-to-date guidance backed by local regulatory knowledge, wide-ranging industry contacts and market intelligence.
