Gard announces that Lars Lislegard-Bækken is appointed Gard’s new Chief Operating Officer (COO) with Ingvild Høgenes Nilsen taking over as General Counsel. Lislegard-Bækken has served as Gard’s Chief Legal Counsel since 2018.

Gard is growing and evolving. We have created this new COO role to make sure we are well-positioned and continuously able to deliver on our long-term strategy and goals. It’s about being fit for the future,” said Gard CEO, Rolf Thore Roppestad.

Long-term strategy

As COO, Lislegard-Bækken will have the overall responsibility for Gard’s Group Legal team, Industry and Corporate Relations, as well as Human Resources, Strategy Realisation, and Property & Service.

Ingvild Høgenes Nilsen, newly appointed General Counsel in Gard, has served as Vice President of the Group Legal team since 1 January 2021 and has been with Gard since 2015. Prior to joining Gard, she worked as a lawyer specialising in tax and corporate law. "Ingvild will make an excellent General Counsel, and I look forward to continuing working with her,” said Lislegard-Bækken. The changes came into effect on 1 May 2022.
