Use of fire suppression systems

The meeting will inform a position paper in the draft of an investigation currently being conducted

Following the new appointment, Rosén will be attending the Autumn Port Equipment Manufacturing Association (PEMA) meeting on 10-11th October in Miami. The meeting will inform a position paper in the draft of an investigation currently being conducted.

An appointed Task Group’s investigation will inform those working in the industry of the importance of fire suppression systems installed on port equipment in order to ensure maximum safety in ports.

The objective of the paper is also set to gauge support from insurance companies, port operators, AHJs and other relevant stakeholders to influence the mandatory use of fire suppression systems on these high-risk vehicles to improve the safety of ports globally.
