Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has announced a two-year partnership with the Maritime Skills Academy to further enhance the level of training of its onboard crews.
The courses include Bridge Resource Management which uses a team approach to achieve safe operation and trains bridge team members to be aware of their responsibility, prepared to recognise workload demands, risk factors, and the ability to handle any situation. Another training course will focus on using the ship’s steering systems.
Skills training

The partnership is a further extension of the services that the Viking Maritime Group already provides Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, with 12 Cadets on board Bolette, Borealis, and Balmoral, for which Chiltern Maritime, part of the Viking Maritime Group, provides full Cadet management, support, and administration.
