FESCO Transportation Group has provided relocation of four Kalmar’s straddle carriers CSC340 from JSC First Container Terminal in St. Petersburg to LLC Vostochnaya Stevedornaya Company in the Primorye Territory.

Both the terminals are part of the Global Ports group.

Multi-purpose dry cargo vessel

FESCO used its multi-purpose dry cargo vessel equipped with cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 120 tonnes

To transfer the carriers, FESCO used its multi-purpose dry cargo vessel FESCO Paris equipped with cranes with a lifting capacity of up to 120 tonnes. The passage went through the Suez Canal and took 56 days.

Before loading, the carriers were placed on 16 supporting gantries specifically designed and manufactured for this transfer and necessary for placing and securing the carriers on the deck.

Ship crane

The carriers were installed on the gantries using a mobile port crane Liebherr, and loading and unloading were performed by a ship crane. Each relocated container weighed 67 tonnes and was 6.4 m wide, 9.8 m long, and 12.2 m high.

As was ordered by Global Ports, FESCO provided relocation of four Liebherr rubber tyre+ gantry cranes (RTG) from the terminal of JSC Petrolesport (port of St. Petersburg) to LLC Vostochnaya Stevedornaya Company (Port Vostochniy) in 2019 and six Konecranes Е-RTG cranes from JSC Ust-Luga Container Terminal (port of Ust-Luga) to JSC First Container Terminal (port of St. Petersburg) in 2020.
