The Maritime Museum of San Diego, an adventurous non-profit dedicated to collecting, preserving, and presenting rich maritime heritage, is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Christina Connett Brophy as its new president and CEO, effective immediately.

“Dr. Connett Brophy’s leadership and collaborative approach will enhance the Maritime Museum of San Diego’s partnerships with educational institutes, community organisations, and businesses all while keeping the organisation at the forefront of adventure and preservation,” said Kenneth Stipanov, Board Chair of the Maritime Museum of San Diego.
Dr. Connett Brophy’s previous leadership roles include serving as senior vice president of the Mystic Seaport Museum and the Douglas and Cynthia Crocker Endowed Chair for the Chief Curator at the New Bedford Whaling Museum.
