The President of the 62nd European Commodities Exchange and Consul Major of the Consulate of the Lonja de València, Vicente Ebri, highlighted the importance of the Port of Valencia ‘a key element in the activity of our cereal trade since the 15th century, without the Port we would never have been able to be what we are.

New container terminal
Along these lines, Vicente Ebri stressed that “The new container terminal in the northern extension of the Port of Valencia and the tunnel access are more necessary than ever, so that our trade in cereals, and the rest of the products that enter and leave through Valencia, can reach any corner of the world.
Vicente Ebri adds, “A new technologically advanced and environmentally sustainable terminal that reinforces the important role of the Port of Valencia for the Spanish economy, companies and citizens.”
European Commodities Exchange delegation
The Consul Major of the Consulate of the Lonja de València led a delegation from the European Commodities Exchange, on a visit to the Port of Valencia, to see the activity of the site in situ. The delegation toured the bulk terminal and the northern extension, where the new container terminal and the bulk terminal will be located in sheltered waters.
Aware of the importance of the port enclosures for their activity, the representatives of the most important cereal and grain exchanges in Europe agreed on the importance of this new terminal at the Port of Valencia and the projects being carried out by the PAV.

The 62nd European Commodities Exchange is being held at the Events and Convention Centre of Feria Valencia, with an exhibition of 10,000 square metres, with the presence of more than 90 companies dedicated to the world of cereals, which will be able to exchange products and ideas over two days.
During the two days, the various actors will exchange knowledge: trade, industry, transport, services and ports.
