Rederij Doeksen B.V. (also known as Koninklijke Doeksen), is a Dutch shipping company that operates ferry services between Harlingen and the Wadden Islands of Vlieland and Terschelling, in the Netherlands.

Due to the nature of the business, robust seafaring training is compulsory for all the crew operating at Rederij Doeksen. Hence, the organisation has partnered up with the well-reputed and experienced maritime training school, Maritieme Academie Harlingen (MAH), to provide the most advanced maritime training on NAUTIS Simulators, by VSTEP BV. 

Their DNV-GL certified NAUTIS Simulators provide state-of-the-art simulation training solutions, which are used to train and examine students, along with company employees, all across the globe. 

New deal to get customised software & hardware add-ons

Rederij Doeksen B.V. has also signed a new deal to get customised software & hardware add-ons, for the NAUTIS Delta Bridge, at the Maritieme Academie Harlingen. The tailored contract agreement includes integration of a healmseat with KWANT controls, a fast sea-going Radar, creation of customised vessels and environments.  

The customised software & hardware add-ons will allow Rederij Doeksen to train their personnel, on the most sophisticated systems that are available in the market currently, which will enable their crews to ensure that all passengers and goods are transported in a safe and secure manner.
