China United Lines Ltd. (CULines), through its logistics investment division, CULines International Shipping Agency Co., Ltd. Guangzhou Branch – has reached in-depth partnership with PUTBOX, a leading Internet platform for the road transportation of containers in China, and completed strategic investment in the latter.

The two sides aim to jointly build up an industrial Internet platform and develop the financial transaction market for the container truck industry in the Greater Bay Area, with reference to PUTBOX’s mature experience in the above-mentioned professions at the Port of Shanghai.

CULines is a logistics company driven by shipping and powered by digital technology. And the logistics segment is committed to the end-to-end extension of the supply chain, value-added logistics services and industrial development.

CULines has already made strategic investments in the supply chain companies in Vietnam and Cambodia to provide customers with one-stop logistics services. Meanwhile, its Nansha Bonded Warehouse is also delivering holistic trade warehousing solutions to the businesses based in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. This strategic investment in PUTBOX marks another key measure for CULines to advance its Shipping Logistics + strategy.

To co-build an Internet logistics platform

The proposed close partnership will allow CULines and PUTBOX to leverage their resource advantages and operating experience in shipping and truck transportation.

In this way, they aim to develop and expand an Internet-based logistics platform for container trucks covering the Guangzhou Port and even the Greater Bay Area, and drive the growth and upgrading of the Guangzhou Port in terms of network-based transport, TMS and other software systems, and financial transactions.
