Brunvoll has secured a contract with Fitjar Mekaniske Verksted AS for the delivery of a propulsion and maneouvering package for the stun and bleed vessel.

FSV’s new vessel is designed in corporation between Sirius Design & Integration and Fitjar Mekaniske Verksted AS, which also are building the vessel.

Stun and bleed vessel

The 50-metre-long stun and bleed vessel will be fitted with a twin-screw configuration, featuring controllable pitch shaft lines propellers, and reduction gears with electrical motors for propulsion.

The vessel will also be equipped with two tunnel thrusters, one forward and one aft, for maneouvering.

The vessel is designed to operate in shallow waters with strong currents and is based on the Aurora series

FSV Group chose the twin-screw configuration in combination with the two tunnel thrusters to meet the operational requirements of the vessel.

The vessel is designed to operate in shallow waters with strong currents and is based on the Aurora series developed by Sirius Design & Integration (Sirius DI) and Fitjar Mekaniske Verksted (FMV). The vessel will also be constructed by FMV in Fitjar, Norway.

We chose Brunvoll for this vessel because they have proven their ability to deliver top-of-the-range products along with a large global service network,” says Arild Aasmyr, CEO at FSV Group.

FSV Group is a Norwegian service provider mainly within the aquaculture industry and operates a large fleet of multifunctional vessels, including vessels for towing, ROV inspection, salmon lice treatment, and more.
