Expansion of services

The company has developed a unique niche by providing bespoke services to the fishing industry

Freightway International was founded in 1989 by David Jamison Andrews, a well-known pioneer in the logistics industry. Based in St. Johns, Newfoundland, the company has developed a unique niche by providing bespoke services to the fishing industry especially seafood processing companies operating on land and companies operating large offshore factory freezer trawlers.

The family-run company has 11 employees. Since the beginning, David Jamison Andrews, his wife Sharon, and their son David Alan Andrews have built long-lasting relationships with customers and positioned Freightway as the go-to company for all their freight requirements.

Customer focus

Further expansion in Canada

He continues in a central position and will work closely with General Manager Rasmus Fogh Jakobsen, who brings knowledge and experience with reefer transport in the North Atlantic markets from 8 years of employment at Blue Water.

With its location in Newfoundland, Blue Water has solid coverage of the North Atlantic Region with offices in Greenland, Iceland, and Canada, and on a global scale, the company has more than 60 offices. The ambition for Blue Water is to expand further in Canada.
