In response to the growing demand for services in the northeastern part of South America, Blue Water Shipping opened a Caribbean office in Georgetown, Guyana recently.

In addition to having over 1,700 employees in a network of 60+ offices, BWS has more than 45 years of experience under their belt, making them a reliable and trustworthy logistics provider. Along with the official opening, Blue Water has appointed Guyana native - Richard DeNobrega to lead operations. He holds over a decade of experience in the region and the industry.

Local expertise and knowledge

As the activities within the Oil & Gas industry in this region are on the rise, we need to be present in Guyana to be close to our customers and their increasing business here. With our local expertise and knowledge, we are able to provide them with the most efficient and reliable service,” states Richard DeNobrega.

Earlier experience comes into play

Blue Water services have expanded into shore base, customs clearance, warehousing, trucking

While the office is new to the region, the region is not new to Blue Water. BWS has already been exposed to the needs in the Caribbean through its involvement in the execution of several previous energy and project-related transports.

Whereas large volumes of cargo are already being managed by Blue Water, its services have expanded into shore base, customs clearance, warehousing, trucking, laydown management as well as heavy haul and lifting services for energy and project-related business into and from Georgetown.

Positive record and performance

We experience a demand for more of our services, and we are proud that our track record and current performance in the Caribbean are rated positively by existing and new customers. Many customers operate internationally, and due to our global setup with extensive in-house resources and strong cooperation across the world, we can support their logistics and also offer project management,” adds Richard DeNobrega.
