In recent years, Blue Water’s Aarhus office has seen a heavy increase in freight to Greenland - especially the Blue Air Pack product has become very popular. Naturally, this places demands on our competences and knowledge of the Greenland market in general.

We have an extremely competent Greenland team in Aarhus. Everyone possesses wide experience within this field, and one of the team members has extensive knowledge of the country from his previous employment with Blue Water Greenland,” says Jan Dam Poulsen, Director, Blue Water Aarhus.

Long-term perspective

When the port of Aarhus in a long-term perspective is going to be the centre of the Greenland trade, we need to create a position for ourselves as local, strong and competent partners for the clients on both sea and air freight. And we do so by offering the right insight and experience in the Greenland traffic.”

Best in Town’ also applies here. When the clients experience a great demand for freight to Greenland, we shall be the best freight forwarder servicing our clients with the possibilities for new growth adventures that exist here,” says Jan Dam Poulsen.

The growth adventure of GrejFreak.dk started in 2008 with a shop selling military equipment. The stock of the shop only taking up the space of a garage. The webshop is selling military, scout and outdoor equipment and hunting accessories, from its facilities (900 m2) in Viby, Aarhus, and employs 47 people.

Since 2016, GrejFreak.dk has worked together with Blue Water for delivery of parcels to clients in Greenland. The cooperation has proved to be extremely satisfactory. “First of all, Blue Water has contributed to streamlining our logistics to Greenland. They have made it easier for us to focus on what we do best: selling super equipment. In practice this means that our clients, at checkout, choose Blue Water as their carrier, when shipping equipment to an address in Greenland,” says Kristian Rasmussen, Co-founder of GrejFreak.dk.

Actual export documentation

We get the very best service, and we are assigned regular contacts who can always assist when needed. Also, Blue Water takes care of the actual export documentation, meaning that we can send parcels to non-EU countries within no time,” says Kristian Rasmussen.

The number of parcels speaks for itself. Since GrejFreak.dk started cooperating with Blue Water two years ago, they have seen an increase of almost 230 percent in parcels to Greenland.
