As of 1 January 2022, Aarhus Logistics Center (ALC) changes its name to Blue Water Logistics, in order to optimise the port setup and continue increasing the efficiency of the activities for the benefit of customers and business partners.

In 2013, Blue Water Shipping acquired ALC, which has been operated independently servicing new and long-time customers within logistics, stevedoring, and warehousing.

The change of name will not affect customer relations, cooperation agreements, or services. On the contrary, our employees at ALC will continue the excellent work and utilise the 50 years of experience within transport and logistics that Blue Water contributes with,” says Jan Dam Poulsen, Director of Blue Water Sea, Air & Logistics, Denmark.

Blue Water’s Core Competencies

  • Specialised employees and effective equipment strengthen the setup:

Blue Water’s broad range of specialised products will form the basis for a strengthening of the logistics centre in Aarhus. ALC’s warehouse, cross-docking, and logistics solutions will become a part of Blue Water. The company already handles these types of solutions nationwide and at several Blue Water offices abroad.

Stevedoring is one of Blue Water’s absolute core competencies and will continue under the company’s experienced Port Service team. Safe and efficient handling of any type of cargo – no matter the size – will continue to define the activities, and the setup at Aarhus Port will be further strengthened with some of Denmark’s best loading, unloading, and securing equipment for the customers’ shipment.

Blue Water has two offices in Aarhus

Blue Water has two offices in Aarhus - a port office and one in Skejby respectively - with more than 120 employees. Headquartered in Esbjerg, the company consists of more than 60 offices spread over more than 30 countries. The 50 employees at ALC will with a new logo on their vests continue to service all customers after the new year.
