Naming ceremony of “Montevideo Express” In Cartagena: Hapag-Lloyd
On April 18th, 2023, Hapag-Lloyd celebrated the naming ceremony of the “Montevideo Express” in Cartagena, Colombia, with around 250 stakeholders and top customers. The weather was perfect: sunshine and tropical 32 degrees Celsius. The atmosphere was great. The most important task was done by Aida Lutty, as being the patron of the beautiful vessel. The wife of Hapag-Lloyd’s much-appreciated business partner Helmuth A. Lutty did an excellent job.
On behalf of the board, Dr. Max Rothkopf thanked her in his ceremony speech and made it clear how important her ship is for Hapag-Lloyd. The “Montevideo Express” sails in the SWX service that starts in Europe, calling Rotterdam, London Gateway, Antwerp as well as her homeport Hamburg, before crossing the Atlantic via Caucedo to Cartagena. From here it continues alongside the South American West Coast, calling Manzanillo, Buenaventura, Posorja, Callao, and San Antonio.
