Event Overview:

An unprecedented opportunity to bring cargo professionals together

Breakbulk Americas, the region’s largest trade event for the project cargo and breakbulk industry, welcomes global sector pioneers, including decision-makers from pioneering energy companies and EPCs, as well as specialized service providers. This is the place for industry networking and to discover the trends shaping project opportunities. With a full show floor, a two-day conference programme, and a variety of networking activities, Breakbulk Americas builds the connections to support the completion of global projects.

Meet 270+ exhibitors, hear the latest breakbulk and project cargo thinking, and have fun at networking events.

Why exhibit:

  • Make crucial connections

Exhibitors will meet face-to-face with project owners, EPCs, industrial manufacturers, and global project forwarders, the people who decide which service providers get the next contract.

Why visit:

  • The world's hub for energy

Due to its Houston location, the world's hub for energy, Breakbulk Americas attracts the biggest oil & gas and renewables companies, as well as many of the top-ranked global engineering, procurement, and construction firms who attend the event to network with one another and find new supply chain partners. More shippers attend Breakbulk Americas than any other Breakbulk event.

  • Get ahead of the curve

The main stage programme, included with every Breakbulk Americas ticket, was developed in collaboration with the Americas Advisory Board. The programme will identify potential in mining, oil & gas, renewables, and manufacturing sectors, do a deep dive into Latin America projects, and feature Melanie Kenderdine, Principal – Vice President, Energy Futures Initiative, in a keynote on Thursday morning: U.S. Energy Futures.

Event in Profile

The ship.energy summit is returning to Spain in 2023 to deliver a high-level debate on the rate of progress in the decarbonisation of shipping and ports. This year’s event will be held on 27 April at the Higher Technical School of Naval Engineers, part of the prestigious Technical University of Madrid. It will continue looking at the global narrative of shipping’s energy transition, and, as always, the conference sessions will reference and be informed by case studies whether they be start-up initiatives or projects that are well on the way to commercialisation and scalability.

The main focus of the summit will be on fuel and technology supply chains. Speakers will discuss the decarbonisation challenges presented in each ‘link’ of these chains and will assess whether sufficient progress is being made to deliver on the IMO’s 2030 and 2050 targets. By taking a deliberately linear approach to these timelines, delegates will be able to assess where there are supply chain gaps to be closed and where the pace of development needs to be stepped up.
