Ships trade associations
Association of Rotterdam Shipbrokers (VRC) monitors and promotes the common interests of the shipbrokers in the port of Rotterdam. The VRC is representing the interest of the members towards all relevant parties with the goal keeping the Port of Rotterdam attractive for ship and cargo. The association was a part of the ‘Scheepvaart Vereniging Zuid (SVZ) between 1889 and 1969, but after 1969 the VRC got his own identity as an association.
The function of the Bahamas Maritime Authority is to register vessels, enforce ship safety requirements and constantly monitor and improve standards. They also represent The Bahamas at the International Maritime Organisation (IMO) and other international bodies such as the European Commission and the US Coast Guard.
The Baltic Ports Organization is a regional ports organization inspiring and supporting its members while cooperating pro-actively with relevant partners. BPO was established on October 10, 1991, in Copenhagen, with an aim to facilitate cooperation among the ports and to monitor and improve the possibilities for shipping in the Baltic Sea region.

The British Ports Association represents the interests of UK ports to the various tiers of national and devolved governments in the UK and internationally.
British Tugowners Association represents the interests of port towage operators from large corporates to smaller privately-owned companies in addition to several Port and Council Authorities. BTA members’ tug fleets cover ports handling 90% of Britain’s sea-borne trade, including all ports.

The Canadian Ferry Association (CFA) is the national voice of the ferry industry in Canada. CFA is a member-based organisation representing Canadian ferry owners, operators, and industry stakeholders across the country. CFA has more than 90 members, with our owner/operator members accounting for nearly all of the major ferry routes in Canada.
Canadian International Freight Forwarders Association represents and supports member firms from freight forwarding, customs brokers, drayage, freight brokerage and warehouse operation business sectors.

Cattewater Harbour Commissioners exist by Act of Parliament as the navigation and conservancy authority for the Cattewater Harbour, as well as civil pilotage authority for the Port of Plymouth. Container Owners Association (COA) is the international organisation representing the common interests of owners of freight containers. The principle aims of the COA are to promote common standards and safe use of containers. The COA was established to bring like-minded businesses in the container industry together to be part of a global association.
