Shipbrokers and charterers trade associations
Association of Rotterdam Shipbrokers (VRC) monitors and promotes the common interests of the shipbrokers in the port of Rotterdam. The VRC is representing the interest of the members towards all relevant parties with the goal keeping the Port of Rotterdam attractive for ship and cargo. The association was a part of the ‘Scheepvaart Vereniging Zuid (SVZ) between 1889 and 1969, but after 1969 the VRC got his own identity as an association.
The Baltic Ports Organization is a regional ports organization inspiring and supporting its members while cooperating pro-actively with relevant partners. BPO was established on October 10, 1991, in Copenhagen, with an aim to facilitate cooperation among the ports and to monitor and improve the possibilities for shipping in the Baltic Sea region.
