SMASH, the Dutch Forum for Smart Shipping, brings the maritime Netherlands together to implement smart shipping and thus strengthen the competitive position of the sector. In the Netherlands, a large number of organisations and companies are working on smart shipping and developments in the field of autonomous ships. This is now happening in a very fragmented manner. ​By working together on a national scale, regional initiatives can be connected.
