Yang Ming Marine Transport Corp. (Yang Ming) would like to make the following clarifications on a news article published by ETtoday reporting that Yang Ming will submit a proposal to the Board meeting on December, 17th, to construct12 LNG dual-fuel vessels.
- The said news report is merely assumptions made by ETtoay. Yang Ming would publish its decisions on major capital expenditure at the Market Observation Post System (TWSE MOPS) by law.
- Vessel resource management is a critical issue of Yang Ming’s operation. To this end, Yang Ming has closely monitored the trend in the ship's market, adjusted its operation planning for the medium- and long-term service network planning, as well as compliance with international environmental laws and regulations, to enhance its operating competitiveness through the development of fleet resource.
- Yang Ming deeply regrets the misunderstanding caused by the continuous unverified reports made by certain news media.
