When Blue Water and Tekstilfabrikken entered into a dialogue in 2018, the company was using a storage facility which had trouble handling both B2C and B2B shipments at the same time. Also, communication could have been better according to Claus Hauge, Director of Tekstilfabrikken:

Claus Hauge said, “We were looking for a logistics provider able to handle our shipments without any hurdles. My team and I wanted time to focus on what we do best – to produce clothing made of sustainable bamboo material. Quickly, we found out that Blue Water had the competences to lift and optimise our logistics. During the three years we have been partners, we have been fully satisfied.”

Handling shelves and pallet racks

Blue Water manages all inbound transports from the suppliers of Tekstilfabrikken to their storage facility, handling shelves and pallet racks as well as packing to stores, business partners and private consumers ordering through Tekstilfabrikken’s web shop.

Daniel Mortensen, the Head of Warehouse & Logistics at Blue Water, said “In a close cooperation we have developed a solution to Tekstilfabrikken facilitating full integration between their web shop and Enterprise Resource Planning system and our Warehouse Management system. This means that the customer can see their stock position even though we are handling inventory.”

Allowing easy communication

Daniel Mortensen adds, “It is also possible to keep track of orders, and the system allows easy communication with our warehouse staff handling the products. It is important that we can offer a transparent and efficient logistics solution."

Tekstilfabrikken is a 100% Danish-owned company with high focus on comfort, functionality and sustainability. They produce bamboo socks and underwear under own brand – IQ SOX. In Scandinavia, they also have the agency for two other brands of socks aimed at diabetics and athletes respectively.
