RCL is pleased to advise that it will take over vessel operation on the RBH service from its current partner ONE from 3 April 2019.
Replacement in vessel
RCL will replace ONE's existing vessel with the M.V. Danu Bhum; followed by the ALS Satsuki
Currently, RBH includes calls at Thai Sugar Terminal (TST) – Laem Chabang – Haiphong – Hong Kong – Shekou – Thai Sugar Terminal with 2 X 1,000 TEU nominal-sized vessels. Both RCL and ONE contribute one vessel each to the service at the moment.
From 3 April 2019 onwards, RCL will replace ONE's existing vessel with the M.V. Danu Bhum; followed by the ALS Satsuki which it operates in service.
New rotation
At the same time, RBH will add Nansha call and omit Hong Kong. The new rotation will be Bangkok - Thai Sugar Terminal (Tue/Wed) – Laem Chabang (Wed/Wed) – Haiphong (Sun/Mon) – Nansha (Wed/Wed) – Shekou(Thu/Thu) – Bangkok – Thai Sugar Terminal, covered by 2 X 1,000 nominal capacity i.e. Danu Bhum and the ALS Satsuki in a 14-day rotation.
According to an RCL spokesperson “RCL is excited with the growing opportunities in Haiphong and our ability to expand our participation in this trade. The addition of Nansha call too will bring us closer to our customers and provide them the convenience of a direct call.”
