Amidst a busy boat show season, Propspeed attended the 51st annual Newport International Boat Show (NIBS), held on the downtown waterfront of Newport, Rhode Island, from September 15th – 18th.

Newport International Boat Show

NIBS spans over 13 acres of historic downtown Newport and is one of the largest on-water boat shows in the United States, showcasing hundreds of boats and exhibitors. Over four days, from September 15th – 19th, and with some fantastic weather, NIBS welcomed thousands of visitors, with the greatest increase in visitor numbers in over a decade.

The Propspeed USA team, Chris Myers – newly appointed VP of Sales, Darron Zimmer – Mid-Atlantic regional sales manager, and Alan Ferland – Southeast regional sales manager, were kept busy throughout the show with new and existing Propspeed customers stopping by the stand.

We met many new boaters and teach them how our products enhance and protect their vessels"

Boat show season is upon us here in the USA! The Newport International Boat Show is always a highlight, and this year’s event did not disappoint. Picture perfect weather greeted us, and boaters of all types came out in full force,” said Chris Myers, VP of Sales – Propspeed.

We connected with so many in the Propspeed family, from boat owners to shipyard staff. In addition, we had the opportunity to meet many new boaters and teach them how our products enhance and protect their vessels. Even though the show has just ended, the entire Propspeed team is already looking forward to NIBS next year!

Corrosion Protection Tank

NIBS also saw the USA debut of the new Corrosion Protection Tank, created in partnership with Marine Protection Systems, with live demos held at the stand daily, showing the relationship and performance of various coatings and anodes.

After a busy and exciting show, the team is getting some much-needed rest before heading to Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show (FLIBS) at the end of October.
