Intermarine, Brazil’s largest luxury yacht builder has selected Satcom Direct, the connectivity solutions expert, as its preferred satellite broadband internet service provider.
The deal, which was announced at this year’s São Paulo Boat Show, gives all Intermarine customers access to a privileged package of hardware, connectivity, and value-added services that will enhance and strengthen reliable communications and connectivity while at sea.
Rack-mounted router
The exclusive SD Brazil service includes a satellite antenna, the SD Marine Rack, and the SD Marine Router, with connectivity powered by Intelsat Flex Maritime. The low-profile rack-mounted router is based on the established SD Router family, which is currently flying on more than 2500 business aircraft.
The router manages onboard connectivity and couples with the SD Marine Rack, to provide a standardised, modular solution for securely housing marine entertainment and communication electronics.
