To ensure that Blue Water has the best employees in the industry, it has chosen to strengthen the focus on employee development by expanding the internal "Learning and Development" function.

Daniel Frausing Borch

This means, among other things, that BWS has employed Daniel Frausing Borch as responsible for the further development of its in-house academy.

Daniel comes from a similar position at BBOXX which is a UK solar energy company with offices around the world.

Strengthen programme quality and quantity

Blue Water is a company with a long tradition of focusing on employee development"

Daniel Frausing Borch, Senior Specialist, Blue Water Esbjerg, says, "Blue Water is a company with a long tradition of focusing on employee development, and the establishment of an academy will strengthen the quality and quantity of programmes we can offer our employees."

He adds, "Our long-term goal for the academy is to have development opportunities for all employees in the organisation."

Learning

This means that whether the user is a newly hired freight forwarder, office manager, or employed in Esbjerg or Dubai, BWS has the programmes. Thinking about learning in everything we do is an important foundation.

Traditionally, learning has in most companies implied employees being sent on a course, but BWS realises that the efficiency of learning increases if we think in a wider sense.

Blue Water Academy

For instance, a course of development containing several elements such as on-the-job training, coaching, special project, and classroom training will have a greater impact.

The Blue Water Academy facilities are on the HQ’s fifth floor and are expected to be ready for occupancy at the end of April.
