Singapore Maritime Week 2024

Organised by the Maritime Port Authority of Singapore (MPA), the Singapore Maritime Week (SMW) is an annual flagship event that brings together global maritime leaders, and industry enthusiasts from around the world to discuss key issues, latest trends and opportunities facing the industry today and tomorrow. This year’s theme, ‘Actions Meet Ambition’, is a show of our collective desire for actions to push for higher ambition in decarbonisation and digitalisation in the maritime sector.

From 16-18 April 2024, SMW will also feature a new trade exhibition, EXPO@SMW to showcase state-of-the-art technologies and the latest offerings in solutions and services to support the industry’s transformation and sustainability journey to achieve a net-zero future. The exhibition is divided into thematic zones – Innovation, Decarbonisation, Services and Country zones that will offer visitors a comprehensive overview of the various exciting developments in the industry.

DNV awards certificates for Fortescue’s dual-fuelled ammonia-powered vessel during Singapore Maritime Week

Classification society DNV presented Australian green technology, energy, and metals company Fortescue with class and statutory certificates for its dual-fuelled ammonia-powered vessel ‘Green Pioneer’ at a ceremony held during Singapore Maritime Week.
